Hi; does anyone know Peter Schmidt in California? He left a message on my answering machine while I was at Hershey, but just as he started to leave his phone number the machine cut off. Could he likely be related to Allan and Beth Schmidt of Restoration Supply (Specialties?) outside San DIego Califunny? I do not know the family, but I do recall that some of the family is involved in the hobby (but I do not know their names?). You could contact them through the Restoration Supply business.
FYI, I wouldn't say that Allan is a "close" or "good" friend of mine, but I have known him casually for about forty years. They are good people.

I knew another Schmidt family many years ago in the hobby (near San Francisco), however he passed away a decade or two ago, and I haven't heard anything of his family since.

He may be related. Are they German? Mr. Schmidt's accent was prominent in his phone message.

Allan has no significant accent. So? I would doubt any of his family would have much accent. Still, may be worth a call.
