I noticed a KW master vibrator for sale and I have seen them before but it has one coil, what does it do?

Thank you in advanced!

Early coils did not have a cushion spring which made it very difficult to adjust the coils for consistent firing, particularly when operating on magneto.
By using a master vibrator, the contacts in each of the four coils is bypassed, and the single contact in the master vibrator takes over the function. All coils fire the same as each other. Once the cushion spring was introduced, the master vibrator became unnecessary.
