Broken electrical post on starter

What is the best/preferred/easiest fix?
This is for the TT.

There is only one fix. Break out your American Beauty 250W soldering iron and replace the stud/strap.

The 'break point' is below the starter shell/housing....

and that's where the strap resides. Like it or not, your starter is coming out and coming apart.

The stud has all but certainly twisted and broken the copper strap

there is no quick fix, unfortunately

Langs sells what you need...it's a Ron Patterson mfg'd part

I don't see it now, but they used to sell them...show Ashley the picture I sent and ask if they have that part on the shelf.

Just a reminder, you must remove the starter drive, (Bendix) before the starter will come out.

Where can I obtain the correct copper terminal stud for this repair? My go to vendor only offers brass terminal studs. Thanks, jb
