If you get a call from 707-210-2457 wanting to sell you the parts your looking for ask for pictures. I believe he was trying to scam me. Pretty smooth operator, nice guy but when I said I would only overnight or mail payment the conversation ended with he would get back to me. We had a 1/2 dozen phone calls over the parts and he was pretty convincing but things didn't quite add up. He may have been for real but who knows.

707-210-xxxx is Napa or the Napa Valley... possibly Sonoma. If he's not from there, or you can't go there to do the deal in person, then I'd just say no and move on.

Sometime a good way check on a possible scam is teo call back with another question on the item.
But inbetween calls check weather or local events on there area and sway the conversation that way
If they dont know or cant tell you much is another way possible scam

Several reverse phone number look-up sites indicate (707) 210-2457 to be in Benicia CA and as a Verizon Mobile Number.

I buy and sell, and use a cell phone with a FL phone number. I now live in WY. I've had the number for years, it is an easy-to-remember number, many people have it ID'd as me, and due to these facts, it's use is convenient for me. There is no reason for that fact to cause one to suspect fraud just because someone carries a phone with a number that does not correspond with their present primary residence state.

This particular deal and this particular phone # may be (or not) associated with a fraudulent scheme. However, Fraud usually comes with many more markers than a phone # that doesn't "seem" right.

The area code may really tell where the caller is, or it may not. Like Scott having his Florida number in Wyoming, my mobile phone has a Wichita number though I live in another area. And scammers often spoof the number so a call that appears to be local is really from another state or country.
