Speaking as a certified fruit pie, I am not sure he likes me. But he does let me
come around the shop and learn T-tech. So, I guess that's something ....
More people are doing it today than ever before !

I've commented on this before and no doubt will again, but if the title of this thread were "Article about Tom Carnegie," I wouldn't have had an instant of worry seeing only his name as a thread title. Just sayin'....ne

Yes, I should have said article about Tom Garnegie. I will try to remember this in any future posts! I do not have the magazine (after all most Model T folk are "frugal")!

I saw the article when at a book store. It is on page 118 which is near the end of the magazine. I guess the magazine company wanted to save the best for last! Tom's a great guy and deserves the recognition.

My friend Dick Lodge. Do you have a fear of a friend passing? If I post with a title of 'Re: Dick Lodge', would you glance at your hand to see if you are still with us? I understand your posting about titles. A lot of titles about many topics could be better written. I wont pick on any in particular. When you see a post about a person, especially one you know, think positive. Maybe they just won an award. Maybe they finally got a car running. As long as the sun is shining you will have a good day. :)

No, I have simply noted through the years that an announcement on the forum of the demise of a regular participant is often indicated by just the name of the departed friend. I think I would be aware enough to know that my standalone name would not cause me alarm, but I'm not usually as certain about someone else. Plus, of course, just your general observation that the choice of a thread title is a good way to indicate in a more specific way what the thread is about.

P.S. Looked at the on-line American Car Collector November-December 2019 and they apparently only include select articles on line. No Carnegie article. Have to check the local supermarket or the library, I guess.
