Its been said that the human burns about 100 W just standing there.

A person can do 200 W of power easily when working. a Good athlete can sustain a 400W effort for a while. Instantaneous efforts like jumping or throwing can generate even higher short term power.

A HP is about 750 Watts, for comparison.

So humans can generate in the range of .15 to 1 HP.

So Model T Ford engine is better than humain with his 20HP

So my Dad and I have 1/2 HP when we pull and push 1913 Motel T engine... :lol:
