I wonder if it will still turn over? Might have the start of something here.

Can be seen at the Gold King Mine along with many other period goodies. Located in Jerome, AZ.

I don't think they are, but the front wheels look like the wheels on a McCormick Deering binder tongue truck.

Ya think the corrugated tin hood was part of the kit too...?

Looks like it was put together with a mix of T parts to make a tractor. Wonder if the transmission is modified for slow tractor speeds. Interesting.

Appears it has.

This tractor is a unique homemade tractor but it is not a commercially manufactured attachment or conversion.

You are very correct! But if Emerson ever built a conversion that would be it.

Looking at those front wheels... I would hate to start it, and have it creep forward as I was running around to knock the spark lever down, and have it run over my foot...

We went to Jerome a couple years ago on our yearly "snow bird vacation" It was a very interesting place to spend the day. Lots of neat old equipment like this tractor, to see.

Don Robert the owner used to bring this tractor up to our Early Day Gas Engine and Tractor show just out side of Salt Lake City.
He would drive a stake in the ground put a cable around the stake and attach it to the tractor, then he would turn the wheels and tie the steering wheel. He would start the tractor and let it run in circles. People would stand there for hours watching that tractor going round and round.
One day while we were standing near the tractor, a lady walked up to look at it and realized it had no driver and started screaming the tractor was a run away. We all had a good laugh,
Glad to see it is still around.
