I heard that Larry Sigworth of Bartlesville Oklahoma had passed away but that is not verified. He has been the M.C. at the Speedster runs in Lincoln Nebraska for many years. He is famous for very authentic Paco bodied Speedster.

Sadly this is true. I'm told that Larry died suddenly in the early morning of Monday, November 4. Services are not yet firm, but something around the beginning of next week is possible.

I just received this from Rich Johnston at Speedway Motors regarding Larry. All Rich says about Larry and more is so true.
Dan
Dear Speedster friends,
We regretfully report that our good friend and longtime Model T enthusiast Larry Sigworth died suddenly in the early morning hours of this past Monday, November 4th. Larry was a collector of vintage speedster and racer speed equipment and their stories, andhad just this year completed an historically accurate restoration of his second PACO-bodied Speedster. A resolute advocate for the authentic restoration and preservation of early Model T speedsters and racers, he was inducted into the MTFCA Speedster and RacerHall of Fame in 2006, and his first PACO Speedster restoration was honored with induction in the 2007 Hall of Fame. You can read Larry's induction citation, and that of his PACO Speedster, at
www.MTFCA.com underthe Speedster Hall of Fame tab. If you didn't know Larry personally, you may remember him as the Master of Ceremonies for each annual MTFCA Speedster and Racer Hall of Fame Induction ceremony since at least 2009.
There is much more to tell about this man's lifetime contributions to the Model T Speedster and Racer enthusiast community, and we shall sincerely miss him.
The funeral service for Larry will be held on Monday, November 11th, 1:00 p.m., at the Presbyterian Church in Bartlesville, Oklahoma.
On behalf of the management and staff at the Speedway Motors Museum of American Speed,
Rich Johnston

Larry was a great guy. He was an avid researcher on Speedsters and the early days of racing along with many other things. He restored two Paco speedsters that are great works of preservation. Larry spent hours helping me do some research on a speedster body, loaned me some stuff that was very rare when he really didn't really even know me and invited me to come too the Speedster Reunion in 2007.
The attached photo was taken by Bill Howell at the 2019 Speedster Reunion in Lincoln Nebraska in June. It is a picture of Larry and Mike Bender right after Mike received his plaque after being inducted in to the Speedster Hall of Fame. Larry was into genealogy also, and 7-8 years ago discovered he and Mike might be distant relatives. According to Mike, Larry spent the rest of his life trying to disprove that. He will be greatly missed.
