Can anyone ID this wood kit?

Post by My1914T » Thu Nov 07, 2019 1:28 am

I'm assisting a daughter of an elderly Model T guy that is attempting to relocate dad into a 'home'.This 'kit' is in the tail end of his T collection
and she'd like to see it find a use. The two big C shapes were not in the box with the others, They may not even belong to the same car. It was purchased as a kit in Texas some years ago.

I would question if this is even a wood kit for a Model T. Nothing looks like any wood I have seen in a T.

I was thinking the same re chair, but some pieces do look car. Maybe a mixed bag, little of this and a little of that.
I know the voices aren't real but damn they have some good ideas!

Thanks Guys, The chair thoughts likely are closer to reality than T. I thought maybe a T Speedster with the curved pieces being for the firewall or seat back.

Maybe one of our Texas members can shed some light on it. . . ???

JF Carlin and Arthur Howell started making sheet metal parts for Model T’s in the 70’s as I remember. Carlin may have sold T wood parts also but don’t remember if they did. I had a parts catalog from Carlin and had bought some T sheet metal parts from Carlin and I started getting their parts pamphlets. I later threw them away a few years ago. Haven’t thought about them in a long time.
