....was recommended to me by MTFCA Director Steve Hughes. We both own an ‘11 Hupp and it’s engineering characteristics are considerably different than our beloved T’s. I remember this excellent compilation of Brass Car tips being available decades ago but not recently. A google search found it on Amazon.com (of course) but I stumbled upon the late, great Harold Sharon’s email address still being used by his daughter. She still has a goodly quantity of her dad’s book and her price is much, much less than Amazon. So, it occurred to me that maybe some of our Forum Friends might also have an orphan marque brassy and possibly in need of Mr. Sharon’s excellent advice found in this
174 page book. I’ve since contacted Melanie Sharon and received permission to release her email address for purchasing her dad’s book.

This is pretty much the only book of its kind. It deals with nomenclature, theory and everything from simple tips to advanced repairs. The writing style is breezy and enjoyable, not at all like a dry textbook. Very informative and very enjoyable.

And one really should admire anyone that would juxtapose Rodin's "the Thinker" with early automobiles.

I will highly recommend this book.

There are only a few Ford Model T specific tips in this book. Most of it regards construction and function of non-Ford automotive engineering. The well written and very understandable information is a pleasure to read and quite rewarding. "Huh, so THAT'S how it works."

If you do not own a non-Ford brass era car you may get by well without this book.

If you do have non-Ford brass cars OR just want a very good brass era technical, repair and maintenance book for your reference library, buy this book.

I am gratified to have my copy.

I am glad that my recommendation of this book spurred you to find the old email and then start this thread. It is great that she is selling more books because of it, and more people are learning more about their cars as well.
