Us northerners could stand to remember, too. Here I am at work for the next week, flying all over the place, thinking about my T in the garage and all the times this past summer I topped up the rad with plain water and wondering just what mix is in there now. I’m sure there’s enough antifreeze to hold out until ten below or so, but beyond that...? Wish me luck!

yea i drained the plain water out of mine. i will put 50\50 in for the winter. they belch a spew so much here in the summer
that i like water and some of that water wetter best. philip

My '14 will spend the winter in my heated shop, as usual. The car is warmer than I am, most of the time.

I just tested my "24 Touring.
I'm good to minus 40 F.
The '13 is drained completely.
Gonna be cold in NJ starting tomorrow.

I just drained our 14 and the model A is next. When in use i use distilled water with a qt of antifreeze to hopefully stop any rust.It has been years since i ran both cars year round. Bud.

I don't think a qt of anti-freeze will do much rust prevention. I would suggest one of the products made for that, there are several. Mine are good down to around -10 and somewhat out of the wind, if it going to get much colder then that I will drain.

The Farmers Almanac - which is 93% accurate for over 100 years - is calling for a repeat of last Winter for most parts of the Country.

I have a friend in Viroqua, Wisconsin.

He can’t remember this much rain ever in one year - the is sitting in the fields because it is still too wet to harvest.

Nomally 40's and 50's this time of year. Calling for 9 degrees by wedneday.

Here in the Thumb of Michigan we went from green to white overnight..... if the forecasters are right, 14 inches by the end of Tuesday and lows around 20°F.

I have an aluminum Z head so I run antifreeze year-around to reduce the risk of corrosion. It's also nice not to have to worry when the temps take a sudden nose-dive.

Same here Tim. I run 50-50 in all the vehicles year round. Nice not to have to worry about it. Pleanty of other things like stock tanks and garden hoses to remember in the north. Good reminder Phillip!

About 5 below here this morning. Supposed to warm up to 25 and then 10 below tonight. It's only November, this is not winter in Montana. This is just to catch us off guard.

I drained my T Saturday. It had a little antifreeze but we added a lot of water over the summer. No worries now.

The Old Timers always recommended to put brook water in the cooling system and never pond water. The pond freezes over but the brook never has.

Look in the barn now for your Weeds. Are they where you hung them after last winter?

I FOUND IN DRAINING MY T'S RADIATOR THERE IS A HUNK OF SOMETHING SOFT THAT SLOWS OR PLUGS THE SPIGOT ' I NEED TO STAND THERE WITH A WIRE TO PUSH IN THERE TO KEEP IT DRAINING, THEN I DUMP IN ABOUT ONE QT OF ANTIFREEZE , LET IT START THROUGH TILL THE GREEN SHOWS, THEN I CAN SLEEP AT NIGHT. BY THE WAY, I JUST LEARNED HOW TO MAKE ANNNIE-FREEZE, --- YOU HIDE HER NIGHTY. BOY THAT FLAT HEAD ENGINE TOOK IT HARD,

We have about 5" and there are still people trying to pull sugar beets!! Lots of corn and soybeans still in the field and the ground was very wet before this mess.It should make for a good start of deer season 11/15 Bud.

There might be an inch here in Central Wisconsin. Glad we can forward all that snow to NE Indiana and Michigan. My mother always told me to share.

Also remember other items that have water in them, like latex paint. I suddenly remembered my pressure washer was in the garage, so had to go get it. Drinking water and diet pop will freeze too.

Last Saturday things cooled off to the 70's but we are still in the 80's here. It would be nice to be able to turn off the AC at night

5 inches of new snow, 20 degrees with windchill of 7. Our A/C wont see action till June!

Well on the bright side the lawn will not need mowed for a while,there are no fly's or bugs,and i doubt if i will see any snakes! Another nice thing about snow is it will not burn!All we can do is not gripe and make the best of it and it"s way too early to get cabin fever!! Good luck to those who hunt our over supply of deer! If one attacks the house i might but other than that NO!! Bud.

About 3” on the ground here, most didn’t stick to the roads and driveway.....temps are dropping throughout the day and a strong possibility of Lake Erie making it’s way down here !!

We had a little snow last night in N. Ga and temps fell from 59 yesterday to 20s this morning. My model Ts and A s are ready for the cold. All have anti freeze.

Won't work, Erik. Without a radiator you hood won't stay put.

The Model F has a one piece hood that includes a cast aluminum front with a criss-cross steel grill.

HOWEVER, the Model K has a water cooled version of the same motor and a radiator (second and third photos).
