Looks to me as if there are at least three women in the background. Interesting photo, it would be fun to know the "rest of the story" !

This looks like a posed picture to me. She has clean coveralls, but dirt on her face....

All the posing photographer needed to do was touch the flywheel with his thumb to get the grunge for her face. Left cheek touched first. :)
The young lady looks like she's a mischievous and almost naughty sort but sitting on a fender of a T? She looks pretty good! :)
Fun photo!

I have seen this picture before. I sent a copy of this picture to my step daughter, Sara, with the caption, " Sara working on a Model T ". Sara who would go with me to swap meets in the late 1990's looking for parts for her 63 Nova that I was working on for her high school car. Sara when she was in her late teens looked just like the girl in the picture. By looks it could have been her great great aunt. Sara and all that know her as a teen thought the picture looked a lot like her. There is no known family connection with the photo and I couldn't find any more info on the photo. It looks like it may have been staged as part of a promotion for a girls auto mechanics class in the mid to late 1920's.

The photo has definitely been posted before- mind you, that is no reason for not posting it again.
If I remember correctly, there were two or three photos taken in the same workshop with the same group of young ladies.

Very true Dane. I post this previous thread only because it has some amazing photos in addition to the one above.

It is easier to enjoy them when they are re-posted that to try to go back and find them later. ;O)

She's cute as a button.

It's worth noting that they might've felt it easier to remove the touring car body to revmove the hogshead than to remove it through the floor with the body still on. After doing my first hogshead removal/installation with the body on, I can relate.

Other hogsheads on the table in the background.
The transmission bands here seem to be held together.
No wires hanging out the headlight, but I haven't assembled mine yet to know if something is up with that.
If bolts are getting torqued up, it's the wrong pattern.
1 plug in, three out.
The women are distracting ya'll !

Is it just me or does she look a little like Erika Christensen?

The car in the background is a 'teens Studebaker touring with the back section removed.
