Roadsters New Top

Post by Jeepbone1 » Tue Nov 12, 2019 9:28 pm

My uncle finally decided to make a top for his 23 roadster from SCRATCH. We finished it last week. You could say that we’re getting pretty good at making and installing Model T tops between this one and my TT. We picked a FB Marketplace score in the form of a 75+ year old industrial sewing machine that makes me now wonder how people make due with a “home owner” small machine. Between having to piece together and fix bows and making the welting because hidemwelt was too thin I think it turned out better than any commercial top. Plus it fit the look of the car!

Fantastic work on the top. However the car itself is a masterpiece of Charm.
Thanks for the look at it all.

Well that is one creative way to do it for sure. Sure like that old blue Roadster!
