It warms my heart to know it's going on again and to see the caricatures of Doug and Warwick.
Thanks for the post.

Being overdue for another California visit, I've been wondering when I should go. Maybe I should time it to include the HME. I'll drive modern if I do, but maybe I could hitch a ride to HME with somebody who's taking a T.

Steve, I am sure we can find you a ride with one of our local Orange County or Long Beach guys. There is always several cars attending the tour.
I'm not sure of my plans this year but for sure I wouldn't miss it. Will keep you posted. Send me your contact info

The new location is great. Huntington Drive, and Santa Anita.

If I can get a motor in the roadster in time, I'll be driving. It'd be a pleasure to meet you Steve if you come out.

The 2019 HME is now upon us, and the weather forecast is looking up for Saturday. Even though Albert Hammond said “It never rains in Southern California” back in the 70’s, recently it’s been a little damp and a bit cold (there is snow in the foothills behind my house today). The meet is in a new location this year, so make sure you head to the right place. I hope to see you there (God willing and the creek don’t rise...

Well the creck is pretty high after last night but the Torpedo will ford it at the old crossing and somehow be there one more time! I remember the last I was there with Stan Howe and it started raining right when we pulled into the gate! it'll be cle4ar for the tour as always... I hope,
See you there!
We never heard anything from Steve. I thought I might offer him a seat but too late now?

We never heard anything from Steve.
I probably won't get away from here until early February. That will be after the midwinter clinic and early enough to get me home with plenty of time to get ready for Chickasha. Get pictures of the HME so the rest of us can enjoy it from a distance.

I just checked the HCCA website, the lot opens at 07:30 on Sunday with the tour starting around 09:30. The website has the registration form that you can print and fill out in advance. Because the new site is at a county park, the club can’t charge an admission fee without turning over a good portion in addition to the site rental fee, but they will appreciate “donations”. Recent years had a $10/car fee, in case you want to calibrate your wallet. The weather still looks good with the next rain storm arriving late Sunday night.

My car fired up on the third pull after sitting since mid-summer, I aired up my tires and drove the ‘14 around Pasadena today, the day was sunny and brisk, easy driving and little chance of overheating.
Looking forward to seeing some of you there.

Gene, I'd LOVE to be able to ride with you on the HME, but it won't be this year. Maybe some day though.
Have fun!

Ya Kirk, it was cold here too and we had snow also but up in the mountains above Pasadena. So Beautiful.... Was a really great day lots of cars. I got to the parking lot early. Since we were at a county park there were a lot of other modern cars there but everyone found a place to park.

Great meet, beautiful crisp day. As usual, Jay Leno showed up in one of his amazing cars, and in his kind generous manner, he worked the crowd and welcomed people to take pictures with him.

Derrick posted a lot of pictures and videos on FB, but he missed getting a Leno shot.

I'd like to thank Peter Eastwood for planning the best tour route ever! The only thing I dislike, and it happens every year, is people who own newer model cars, and are not invited, decide to crash our tour, and eat our doughnuts.
