Mark, what they didn't tell was they were originally invented to screw our igloos together . Since we like the screw heads to all be aligned so they look proper on your igloo the slot was just not doing it. You had to at the very most turn the slot a half turn to align the heads using the Robertson the most you needed was a quarter of a turn.LOL

That was a great video except for the bow tie.
My 1924 Tudor has Robertson screws. They are much easier to use than just about anything else.

That was a screwy video . I received a set of screw drivers from relatives in Canada, that sure explains all the square drive screwdrivers in the set.
I kinda like those Robertson square drives, they do work nice.

Just an additional point that wasn't mentioned, Robertson also invented the tracer bullets, they couldn't see where the bullets were going at night so he invented the idea to apply a small amount of phosphorous on every 8th bullet.

Re: Not OT - For Our Canadian Friends - History of Robertson and Philllips Screws
It's a sad loss to the world that P.L. Robertson felt offended by Henry Ford's heavy-handed approach to the manufacture of square-drive screws for the US market. He went home upset and endeavored not to allow his Robertson screws to be made or cheaply licensed in the US. That left the field open for the Phillips screw head, which many people feel is inferior to the Robertson screw head.
