New/old boots for the Gin Runner

Post by steve plowman » Wed Nov 20, 2019 1:49 pm

i went shopping on ebay last week and scored a set of 3 very lightly used 6.00x18 Lucas crossplys that are on the the list of suitable tyres for vintage sportscar trials so should be fine. They were on a Wolesley Hornet Special for two trials then retired so loads of life in them. £125 for the 3 including the post was a steal considering their list price is £175 each. 😎

Ive already got a pair of new BFG 4.50x21” s for the front

That's $53.75 each. Pretty good, if they're not too old.

They were bought new 2 years ago and fitted to a Wolseley Hornet Special to compete in two VSCC trials then removed. They have a few off road wheelspin scars but minimal wear 😊
