The theme of the morning was Tools. The show and tell included both Ford and aftermarket tools.
The Stevens 181 hub thread tool is a rare item.
Nick Nicholas (left) brought his speedster to show.
Famous Model T guys Brad cox, Mike Bender, and Bud Redding were present.

The demonstration of installing a metal valve stem ran off the rails. I planned to dismount a Riverside, cut the rubber stem off the tube, and install the metal stem. But the rim and tire combination I grabbed out of my shop wasn't of the recent vintage I assumed from its looks. It was old enough for the tire to be stuck to the rim by rust, and took a bunch of us to get it apart. Cutting off the rubber stem and grinding away the stub went normally, but when I tried to insert the metal stem the tube split apart. Old rubber gets rotten. Well, that's show biz.

If everything we did went as planned life would become very boring.
I bet the plug rebuilding presentation SPARKED some interest!
