Thanks guys. I don't look at those ads often enough. The colors and designs of those things are the best.

A few more interesting catalogs. In addition to specialized Ford T catalogs, I have a lot dating back to 1903. Started buying them years ago for the spark plug info in them, sort of as a go-with for my spark plug collections.

Terry, I have at least as many as you show. The only duplicate I have that matches yours above is the red 1914. JG Birdsell catalog. If you bought it on ebay, there is a good chance I was the seller. I found 12 of them in almost perfect condition. I kept one and sold the other 11.

I wish we lived close enough to share our collections. I love the old catalogs. I have shown my literature collection to a few people, but most folks do not want to take the time to look. I even have a special "reading desk" so the more delicate books can be laid out and carefully looked at. Its like going to a library that has all model T era books. But I have very few lookers.

I started collecting years ago at Hershey. Found a vendor over in the old Blue Field (under where the roller coaster is) and bought a whole pile of them for five bucks each. Stopped counting them a long time ago. Some are pretty fancy with brass lamps printed in gold so they look like brass. The Charles E. Miller catalogs have great cover illustrations. Here are a few of them from my collection.

As late as the 1940's, several hardware businesses in Australia were advertising T parts. Below a Chandler's Catalogue from (IIRC 1943)

In those days $1 US was equal to Australian five shillings (5s or 5/-) On that basis a T head gasket was 2/6 i.e half of 5/- so US 50 cents or two for $1
