Re: Model T and Brass Era Fallbrook Tour - January 19-21, 2020
Wish we lived closer - we were at the recent AACA National Meet at that resort and enjoyed it tremendously. Nice place and a nice area to tour in with plenty of great scenery and things to do. Found some real treasure in an antique mall in Temecula too. Unfortunately, cross-country is a long way to go this time of year hauling our T.
Best wishes for a successful event.

Eric, You know it's very possible you might get sick on the HME and be well enough for a little Vintage Wine?

Sorry I will be missing this tour. It sounds like it will be fun. That same weekend my grandson in northern California will be receiving his Eagle Scout award, and don't want to miss that event. He has worked very hard to achieve the highest award in the Boy Scouts, which is a higher rank than any other family member has ever achieved.

Great news!!!
Our tour has been invited to a distinguished gentleman's estate to view his elegant automotive collection and to celebrate all those in attendance, ...and to discuss why it's so difficult getting more old car enthusiasts to participate in these friendly events.
Sign up and reserve your room if you haven't already (see original post). Promote our hobby. It's the righteous thing to do.

This generous "distinguished gentleman" has asked us all to bring some cardboard to place under our cars while touring his collection to protect his pristine concrete driveway.

I will be attending. My problem is deciding which car to drive! Perhaps I'll take my '25 pickup pictured above, as I haven't had it out recently. The resort is a great place to stay. I was there recently at the AACA Western National Meet, and it doesn't get any better.

It sounds like Dell Pound from San Diego now will be coming along with his recently purchased 1923 Touring.
Now others might get off the fence and tumble in. They really should. This will be a fun two days of touring and cocktailing.

If the Pala Mesa Resort no longer has $109.00 Fairway Rooms available for this tour, then you may have one of the 6 rooms held under my name transferred into your name. Please do not take one of my rooms if you are able to secure a $109.00 room directly from Pala Mesa Resort reservations. Their telephone number is at the top of this thread.

This beautiful example of a 1915 Ford Touring car will be on our tour, complete with its spectacular side mounted bulb horn. Be sure to complement its diver if you're fortunate enough to see it pass by.

The Fallbrook Tour is this coming weekend.
Please spread the word to bring pieces of cardboard in your car so that when we arrive at John Wilson's mountain top estate, and beautiful car collection, on Monday afternoon we all may protect his pristine linen white 100 yard driveway from our oil drips.
Some of us are arriving in Fallbrook on Saturday. We hope to see you in the Pala Mesa Bar that evening. Otherwise, we will be at the Sunday Buffet Brunch early Sunday morning before our 10AM tour.
Cheers,
Lee Chase, his son Steven, and daughter Cynthia

Re: Fallbrook Tour - Two Days Away!!!
I was able to attend the first day of the tour. The routes were spectacular. Mainly back roads with very little traffic with visits to the Deer Park winery and the Antique steam and Gas Engine Museum. Then we had great meal at the Pala Mesa Resort we had over twenty cars and close to 50 people with about 35 staying for dinner.
I could attend on the Monday but I’m told they are up in old town Temecula.
Here are a few pictures from Sunday
.
Somehow I managed to duplicate one picture and in correcting I got General Error and I’m unable to fix it. There are more pictures but I can’t post so that’s it for now. It was a great day touring and wonderful company.
