It's nice to hear Merry Christmas again! I guess it wasn't politically correct for awhile.

Anyone who wants to wish me something happy, merry or otherwise good, regardless of the religion, national origin, native language, philosophy or politics of either the wisher or the wishee is welcome to do so. Merry Christmas as well!

A VERY MERRY CHRISTMAS TO ALL!

Henry and all others :
Merry Christmas to all !
regarding having forgotten the meaning of Christmas and it's religious ,not commercial base … I offer a quote from George Washington …
" Let us with caution indulge the supposition that morality can be maintained without religion … Reason and experience both forbit us to expect that national morality can prevail in the exclusion of religious principal …
Again , MERRY CHRISTMAS to all …
always an optimist

The best definition of Christmas I ever heard was from my 6 year old grandson (at the time) who, when I asked him if he knew what the real meaning of Christmas:

His immediate answer with no hesitation was,...... "sure G'pa,....it's a birthday party for Jesus."

Out of the mouths of babes,...huh?

I gotta memorise what George said (see Gene French’s post).
I’m noticing more people wishing me a Merry Christmas more than previous years. Especially from people who are not Christians.
I even had a store clerk that said “you’re welcome” recently.
Here in taxafornia they usually say”no problem”. That bugs the hell out of me.
Merry Christmas folks and let’s not say “happy holidays” any more.

Aaron - Not to start a discussion on religion here, but I believe George Washington was a believer in deism. As for me, I've obviously "memorized" my 6 year old grandsons definition of Christmas,....."a birthday party for Jesus!" And in my previous post, I forgot to say,....Merry Christmas to all! .....harold

Keith,

I sure hope Spencer is holding that tree tightly, and the car even more so! He is one snappy dresser!

That touring car seems to have side curtains on the rear compartment and there is snow on the wiper. What is the vertical divider on the lower windshield which is also collecting snow?

All the best for a wonderful season for all!

The cake that I picked up today, it expresses an honest and seasonal sentiment that I think a lot of people can support;

IMG_6753.JPG

I love my local bakery, all I told them was chocolate and Death To Hallmark. It does not come through too well in the photo, but the penguin looks REALLY angry. I order one every year, wife hates it, I love it. Who doesn't like cake?

My son and I decided to take a Christmas Eve ride in the T today...With my Santa hat on my head we set out.. the weather was so nice here in York County Pennsylvania that our short ride turned into a long one. Driving down the back roads of this rural country one could easily believe it was 1919 . The old farms and gravel roads made it feel as if we stepped back in time... I didn’t want it to end... but just like that it did when my radiator sprung a leak through a pop rivet in the bottom tank! Fortunately we were not far from home... my poor wife with a pie in the oven brought us a few gallons of water and we made it home.. That all just made the trip that much more memorable.. A couple pics of the T in front of an old building ... Merry Christmas everyone!!!

Up until now I'd always felt the Roadster was the most beautiful of them all but that Tourer is simply gorgeous!

I'd been working hard on my car in order to be able to give the kids a ride today. I'm pleased to report that was reasonably successful as the threatened rain never eventuated, and Elizabeth came out to play:
