These Towncar photos were taken at a 2018 fall steam & car show in Ohio. The fellow had many Model T's and most all were for sale. I didn't have my camera with me so a friend I was with took these and sent them to me.

It would be a temptation to leave the wood finished that way. Do you suppose they intend to paint it?

Rich,

I don't think they were going to paint the car as it had several coats of varnish on it. Most all of his other Model T's he had were a "Patina" finish with oil applied to the metal.

That towncar looks just like mine did just before I had it painted. The main difference is the body seems to be home made and the driver compartment is considerably larger to accommodate us larger individuals of today, but the back door seems to be smaller to get into the passanger area in back. The windshield is stationary like a depot hack and not a movable to the top above your head as they were originally. I do like the idea of the larger driver space in front. All of the towncars I have seen till now have been customized to accommodate the owners ideas of what a towncar should look like versus what they really did look like in the day. Frank

Don Watson should like that - how come no natural wood spoke wheels?
