There is a 1909 for sale on the Hemmings website.
One of the pictures in the add shows a two pedal/two lever set-up.
However the actual car for sale has three pedals and one lever.
Whoops.

Re: 1909 in Hemmings
They show the serial number 904 if my memory is correct it should be a 2 pedal 2 level car as this is one of the cars Royce was working on some years ago. Please correct me if Im wrong. Cheers Colin

Colin,
Yes, #904 was repaired and worked on by Royce. He says it is a 3 pedal 1 lever car. From the posting at: http://www.mtfca.com/discus/messages/50 ... 1450009883 Royce commented:

Magneto / flywheel assy from 904. I believe this is the earliest known 3 pedal car. It does not show any signs of having been converted from a 2 lever / 2 pedal car.

And from that same thread there is an early photo of 904 on a post card. Additionally Kim Dobbins posted on the same thread:

I have kept track of all the 2 lever cars I could find information for the last 20 years. I count about 33 cars from #2 to #839. some are complete reproduction cars, some are engines only and some that were known in the 1960's have just disappeared.
C H Wills in the drafting department at Ford Motor Company, stated in various updates on 2 lever parts that most were to only be used on the first 500 and 750 cars. I suspect that there were only a few cars after car #750 that were made with the 2 lever control system. The only documented car above #750 is #838 which has a very interesting history as related by Lee Crenshaw.

Will -- you are correct some how they have included a shot of a 2 pedal 2 lever chassis -- but that is NOT #904. All the photos of the car with the body on it that also show the pedals show 3 pedals and one lever. And they have the post card photo of the same car from long ago.
Respectfully submitted,
