Some of the newer modern transmissions have a press-fit on internal bearing to shaft fit. A special fixture is needed for disassembly and you use heat transfer plugs for assembly.
Plugs are heated to 450F degrees, usually on a hot plate and then put inside the bearings for a few minutes and everything slides together with ease. Without doing this you can break the cases...

Always use eye cover, my father years ago showed me a guy with a white eye from getting lye in it, that made me remember every time!!
