Making a wide-track rear axle

Post by ChrisB » Thu Jan 09, 2020 3:19 pm

They are not available from the vendors any more due to demand.

We (mainly Glen) did the work on a South Bend 10" lathe. Have the thread, taper and keyway done.

Notice taper attachment behind lathe bed.

I think I have a set of wide track axles. The gears are made on the axles
24-28 TA race car, 26 Canadian touring, 25 Roadster pickup, 14 Roadster, and 11AB Maxwell runabout
Keep it simple and keep a good junk pile if you want to invent something :P
