1922 TT Waterous Fire Truck

I was asked by our local fire department to assist them with the restoration of their 1922 TT Waterous Fire Truck. It seems someone has removed the original engine and transmission and placed a 6 cylinder Chevy and power glide behind it and the group wants to take it back to original. With that being said, at first glance they will need an engine, transmission, and gas tank. Anyone have any sources or references for these items? I just came home from there and wanted to begin the process. The Fire Department is in Spencerville Ohio and they want to establish the costs and prioritize the refurbishment before moving forward.

Thank you in advance for any and all assistance and it is greatly appreciated.

(Honestly, I believe this is a great opportunity to create interest in the hobby for these your folks.)

Randy, I am in the process of pulling a 22 engine and installing a correct 26 engine in my roadster puckup. Maybe they would be interested in it. Runs good but if you are restoring the truck the engine should be rebuilt. I have been a firefighter for 35 years so I get the big red truck thing!

Check with "Engine Joe" Joe Bell. He's in Tiffin, Ohio, not that far from you. He's in the business of building engines and transmissions and usually has several years of core engines to build.
