Lang's Old Car Parts
So I ordered some parts from Lang's last night and today Ashly called me to let me know that one of the parts I ordered was out of stock and would I like to use another part that would do the same thing. It was a gas shutoff. I made the change and my parts are on the way. Great customer service. Thanks Lang's!!!
Disclosure: I did work for Don many years ago when he was working out of his house. They were great back then as well.

Re: Lang's Old Car Parts
I’m very fortunate to live close enough to be able to visit Lang’s in person. Next time I definitely need a shopping list for rummaging through the used parts section so I don’t forget stuff again! I hope to make a few trips a year!

Good people who know the model T and willing to help in a most honest way. I have been in and out of the hobby since 1983 and these folks have always been a great help.
I am planning on a trip to there store(large collection of used T parts in the basement ) next week.

Re: Lang's Old Car Parts
I ordered a set of king pins and bushings, at 49 bucks! and a set of valves for the engine.and 2 eye fender bolts.I ordered that friday before 12. They said tuesday as far as getting the stuff in the mail. Well the king pins are installed! Yep,they came today. Took payment right over the phone and Ashley I think answered but I had a question about the valves and she connected me with someone to answer it and he took my order.
quick service and shipping was very far priced as well.

Just called them today and talked with Steve about how my pistons were installed. I'm about to send in another order.

Re: Lang's Old Car Parts
Lang's is great, but since I have both model Ts and As I find myself going to Snyder's more often since I can buy parts for both with one stop shopping. I avoid Mac's at all cost since they seem to have an automatic 2-day internal shipping processing time ever since Eckler's bought them. I can't buy from Mac's on Monday and have parts arrive by Saturday to Virginia like I can with either Lang's and Snyder's. There something great about fast shipping!

Re: Lang's Old Car Parts
I don't buy the Ecklers theory. I crossed Mac's off my list more than twenty years ago, long before Ecklers entered the picture. I've found all the other dealers very good about shipping promptly. I order from Birdhaven, Bob's, Chaffin's, Lang's, Snyder's, and others, and none of them have kept me waiting.
The inevitable often happens.

Re: Lang's Old Car Parts
If you want real fun go to Lang’s store. They have a large room of just NOS parts and a basement full of used parts. Like going to Hershey but condensed without all the non model T dealers.

Re: Lang's Old Car Parts
Quite a while back I was searching for a wooden gas dip stick/gauge. Couldn't find one in the catalog. They must have read the post because one arrived in the mail. Unsolicited and no charge. Impossible to beat that.
Forget everything you thought you knew.

Re: Lang's Old Car Parts
Lang's has always 'done right' by me, great service and buying experiences similar to what others have posted. I have also had similar good service from other vendors, and I'm glad we have them. Recently I ordered body patch panels from Mac's on ebay, and that product and their service was exceptional! I'm concerned that some longtime vendors are looking to retire, and close their businesses. They have earned that right, but we will miss their good quality parts & service. I have no vested financial, personal or business ties to any vendors I mentioned, other than parts purchased and advice received. jb

Re: Lang's Old Car Parts
Every time I need something for our Model A I wish Lang's had Model A parts. They're my go-to for T parts, like I said in an earlier post.

Re: Lang's Old Car Parts
Once again Ashley helped me out. She pointed out that I didn't need to buy a service that I thought I needed. She also knew what I needed by my describing what I was doing. Ashley knows her stuff. Thanks again.
