What if this wagon had landed slightly differently during a tornado near Dearborn?

Yikes! This I had not read about before.
I have often pondered the "what ifs" of if Henry had not made the tremendous success he did. My primary reasoning (aside from all the hundreds of things that could have happened?) was Henry's age. He was considerably older than were most of the automotive pioneers, and lacked the training and education some of them had had. What Henry lacked in formal training, he more than made up for in an innate understanding and self taught. However, given his age about 1890? His most likely future would have been as a supervisor in one of Edison's facilities.
This incident puts a whole new spin of the "what ifs"! To learn he was that close to being killed as such a young man by of all things a tornado!
Thanks again Rob! You find so many interesting bits of history.

Wayne,
As always, thank you, and I appreciate your insights. History is an I testing, fluid and often changing (facts is facts, except what they aren’t 🫣). Working on a few other interesting “early Henry Ford” tidbits. Hope you have a good weekend.
Cheers,
Rob
