26 Tudor

Post by Bob McDaniel » Sun Feb 03, 2019 1:00 pm

This is my first Model T. I have had this car for over 10 years and it has been fun but its time to let it go. It has never let me down and has always been a hit at car shows and the local gas engine show. It has done tours and back roads for thousands of miles. Since we have owned it the front end has been rebuilt, the rear end has had bronze thrust washers installed, it has had a new set of tires that are still good for thousands more miles, it has had Kevlar bands that are working perfect and show no ware the last time I checked them, the coils are rebuilt and set on a hand cranked coil tester at 1.3 like they should be and the car runs great on battery and better on mag. This car was never restored and looks just as it did the day I got it and had been sitting since 1965. It has the remains of inspection stickers from the late 1950's still on it. It has that great barn find look and people tell me all the time to never change a thing. The inside shows the original seats with ware from age and could use some work but I just drive it and this adds to the look of it. I don't have a lot of pictures of it and it is in the pole barn behind a couple other cars for the winter but when it warms up I can pull it out and get some shots of it or you can come see it in person. I have $6500 in the car and would take that for it. My number is 574 area code 727 O725 from 10 AM to 10 PM eastern time please. Car is located in Logansport Indiana.

More pictures as I locate them will be added.

I found a couple of old youtubes of the car from a few years ago when I pulled it out of the barn after winter storage and one without sound when I decided to drive it to town for coffee when it was 8 above one morning after a snow storm.

It is hard to find pictures of my 26 since I am driving most of time and don't think about pictures but I have found a couple.
Asking $6500 or best offer.

This car is driven to Winamac Indiana almost every year to give rides around town for the Power From The Past gas engine show. This is in July every year so stop by for your free ride in a Model T or Model A Ford or both.

This was just before we took my wife's brother for his first ride around Logansport in a Model T. He is from Mankato Mn. and needs his own Model T now.

This picture was at the Homecoming tour in Richmond Indiana a couple of years ago getting ready for a 100 mile drive.

Here we are in Metamora Indiana 50 miles into the tour when we all stopped for lunch.

This car is still for sale. I have bought another Touring and my wife bought a 31 Model A 2 door sedan so we no longer need this one so its time for the next owner to enjoy it as much as we have over the past 12 years.

Today was the first warm day that I felt good enough and had time to move everything out from in front of the 26 so I dumped a gallon of gas in it and charged the battery a little and drove it out into the sun and got some pictures. Now I can get to it if someone wants to go for a test drive but I don't know if the battery is going to be good enough to crank the engine since I had to hand crank it to start it today which is no problem for me.

One more time.

I am thinking of putting this one in the back of the barn for later since my other cars are open tourings and a closed car has roll up windows for when we get stuck in the cold rain. I just don't need another car to restore and if I keep it I know someday it will get restored.

Any interest before I pull this add? I will take $5900.
