A PIE IN THE SKY
Matt. looking at the dauntless geezer price guide it looks over priced. too bad it was left out in the weather for years. right side has severe wood rot.pieces of wood missing. brass headlights look gutted. speedometer non functional. side lamps look trashed but rebuildable. engine not original ? May be the just the hogs head was changed. ignition system needs coils and timer if You wanted to go back simi original. Trash water pump. Coil box wood cracked and weathered. Radiator condition unknown. and the list goes on. it does have a ruxtel and rocky Mtn Brakes which is a plus. For the right guy at the right price it could be the deal of the decade. But not for me. "A Pie in the Sky" I am however looking for a hack with center jump seats, left shift ruxtel and rocky mtn brakes for giving rides at the restored Tomball Depot. If You run into one please let Me know. Thanks Jim

Re: 1912 PIE WAGON $12,000.
The ad said it has a two speed warford not a ruckstell. Is there such a thing as a two speed warford? If it has a clamshell rear axle it may be worth fixing up but who knows what condition that axle may be in. Looks like there is a starter and smooth pedals along with a cutout switch on the floor. No title. Is that mushrooms growing on the wheels? Might be worth between five and seven. Just my thought.

I love the blue and brass color scheme. I'd probably strip the blue paint and make it red, more consistent with a food truck.
"Old" is not always valuable. I think there's an estimated 100k Model Ts out there in various condition. The value of an antique is mostly derived by the amount someone wants to pay for it. The intrinsic value is usually a very little part of the price.

Re: 1912 PIE WAGON $12,000.
The pie wagon belonged to Bo and Susan Franks. He and Susan used the car to perform a medicine show routine for local car club events. Bo was quite the entertainer and had a number of clever gimmicks to amuse the audiences.
As I recall, the side panels were not metal but rather a masonite type material which was attached to the wooden framework of the body.
