Re: Dec. 1910 Touring
Sorry to see you parting with it, Lee!
When I saw the post for a 1910 touring car, the first thing that popped into my mind was “I think that’s the same year that Lee has...”. Good luck in selling it.

Re: Dec. 1910 Touring
An interesting surviver. The serial number makes a 1911 - but basically it is a 1910 carry over. There are several features that are 1911 model, but the T should be restored with all the nice 1910 features. The rear wheels are still with the original green paint. The front timer cover is later and takes the one peice timer. (Spell correction is messing this up) Price might be a bit high, but someone should buy it. Here is your chance to own an open value T.

Re: Dec. 1910 Touring
T46, your comments are appreciated. Do you think the timer cover is original to the car?
I would like to chat about the car.

My grandfather purchased the two lever #839 new in Richmond in 1909. Stayed in the family until 1941. The $20. my Dad got for it paid my doctor bill. Guess that's how I got T in my blood.

Re: Dec. 1910 Touring
Few of the 1909-11 Model T Ford engines have the original timer plate. Mine did when I bought it in 1946, but I put on a NOS later plate sometime in the 1950s. I gave the original plate to a friend who needed one for his 1910. I should have kept it. I do have a repro plate and have an original two piece timer if I want to use. Other wise it will go with the car after I am "gone." Your T is nice in that it is probably almost all original, either on the car or what goes with it. I have seen or have viewed photos of perhaps 6 or 7 similar 1910s in that condition or better, but largely original and a bit rough. I hope it finds a good home.

Lee, such a wonderful car. It would be a shame to ever restore it. JMHO
