F. S. 1913 towncar

Post by Sarikatime » Sun Jul 18, 2021 12:39 pm

There is a 1913 Towncar for sale on Hemings. Just under $ 22,000. It looks nice, white, labeled as a mode A. It may be a home made something since the back door looks very narrow but it is still a towncar, I think. Here is your opportunity to own a towncar at half the cost of what it should cost.

Yeh I saw that while looking for a model A for a friend. Something just doesn't add up, but you're right, could be a fun car at a cheap price.

You're right Something isn't Kosher about this car. Here's a picture of an actual 1913 town car. And another photo of the car in question

Even with the high price of lumber that comes with it factored in, I'm sorry, but that's just way too much money for a running chassis

Look at what's sitting in the bed of the pickup in the background! One picture is worth a thousand words!
( I've always wanted to use that)

The front seat of a towncar is very tight, you are practically standing up when driving. This one looks like it has plenty of room for the driver, that is why the back door is so skinny. I know of a towncar made out of a touring and when done right they look good. The 13 is a good year to convert to a towncar since the doors go to the floor.
Just my .02 cents. Frank
