Hello fellow Model T-ers,
I was wondering if any of you have heard of a “Jumbo” two-speed rear end?
Here’s a photograph, best I could find, of one on a 1910 Model T. It’s supposed to work similar to a Ruckstell. I’m wondering if they are equally as efficient as a Ruckstell,
…and any other information I might learn about them.
Thank you in advance for any guidance you may offer.

There is some really good info. Planitor.ThreePedalTapDancer wrote: ↑Mon Jul 19, 2021 1:30 pm[image] http://www.mtfca.com/discus/messages/331880/366120.jpg[/image]

I know they made them in under or overdrive. Under drive units are fairly common. Never seen an overdrive. The gear reduction is quite a bit wider than a rux.

I had a Planitor in my 16 Touring and it was great. The one thing that I liked is that it had a neutral that made it nice for cranking. It was a under drive.

Would be fun to connect that jumbo to a two speed Ruckstel. I have a 26 TT with a three speed warford and a two speed warford and a two speed Ruckstell.
