T wanted

Post by Dellpound » Wed Jan 09, 2019 9:59 pm

I’m still looking for a running T needing little work. I received a few responses but I have not found the right car yet. Looking for a touring, speedster or depot hack. I’m in the Southern California area.

Hi I found this for you on T bay. I do not know the owner but at this price it is a deal no matter you want a do with it. It is a good start.

Dell, we were just in Torrance at the Thomas collection sale. There is a super clean 26/27 roadster pickup there that I think can be had reasonably. It's all black, and all stock model T, no significant accessories. Nice paint and upholstery and a full set of side curtains, not that you need those in SoCal. And it's in your back yard. It has not run in a few years but I expect could be driveable with a few hours work. Not a project. Thomas estate looking for new stewards of their dad's cars and like the idea of local guys coming to see and buy personally rather than dealing with sight unseen buyers and shipping hassles. Their phone has been going crazy with overseas offers. PM me if interested.

Frank, Most are either to far away or were not as advertised. I might add that there have not been hundreds of cars, more like 15. We have seen some very nice cars but they were out of what we consider a fair price. This is not just my opinion, but also those of other hobbyist in the area.
We have driven to utah and Colorado to look at cars that were supposed to be road ready and they all needed major work.
I’m not new to the T hobby and know what is good and what is not.

Not my favorite color, but for the apparent condition, seems to be a steal at the price: viewtopic.php?f=4&t=1859

There are good cars out there and there are cheap cars too. Hard to find both in the same car.

That is one fine car, I've turned a lot of nuts and bolts on it! For what its worth you couldn't paint that car for what you got into it! Happy Touring
