My good friend Jim in Visalia is helping out his hot rod buddy sell off a lifetime collection of parts along with a few cars.
Jim delivered papers to him as a kid and they have
been friends for around 40 years …
This 1930/31 Model A Sport Coupe was purchased for
use on a farm outside Visalia, California where it is
located now - it never was registered - the serial
number is available for a title search.
This is a rolling project vehicle sold “ as is “.
I took a walk around video of the car on January 18th.
You can see it on my YouTube Channel:

The asking price is $7500.
It has been stored inside & will be continued
to be stored inside until the new owner
picks it up.

I can't see the video because of my lousy internet connection, but in the photo posted here, I see what appears to be a seam in the splash apron, which would make it an early to mid-1930 car; if it has the ribbed dash with a round speedo, then post June. There were only some 50,000 sport coupes made in 1930, so it's a scarce model, also it shows the landau irons, appears to be the original, unique to this body style ones too. Looks like a great restoration start! BTW, I have an early 1930 one myself, second owner!
T'ake care,

Looking back at the photo, the headlight cross bar appears to be the very early version with the built-in license plate mounting. Wish I could see the video, maybe when I'm at a place with good wi-fi and I think about it, I can look at it. There are a number of special parts on the top supports that are sport coupe only, and they seem to be there, although the braces on either side of the rear window curtain seem to be missing--they aren't hard to make, but there's a special tube nut on each of them that would have to be fabricated, as it's visible with the top together.
T'ake care,
David Dewey

If I bought that - I would try to get it running safely
and leave it just as it is.
I like the patina - practical bonus are the dual
front fender tire mounts which made sense
for farm use …
