920 Dodge Brothers Touring car, Model 30, for a Model T Ford. I fully realize this is not selling a Model T but wanted to see if anyone would be interested? This car, is head and shoulders beyond a T, the robe rail, foot rail, carpet and seating room make this a far more luxurious car. Full restoration including motor and transmission rebuild in the late 1980s. Newer interior, top and all fluids have been changed. Starts, drives, shifts and stops well. (Sold)

Gee, that is beautiful. I have a family photo of my G-pa sitting in his with g-ma and kids in 1920. And unlike a T, it has real brakes and so much more!

Dodges cost more than Model Ts. They were very good cars, with mostly steel bodies. I think they made do with rear wheel only brakes until 1928. The later model 4 cylinder engines had 5 main bearings, among other niceties. I'd like to own the touring offered here. A "Fast Four" roadster would really be nice.

DB prices are comparable to Model T prices and speed is about the same.

The 1920 Dodge touring weighed about 2400 lb and had 30-35 HP.
Cost about $800.00
RPM @ 50 MPH: 1900

Like the Ford T, they were a lot of car for the money.

Dodge ad copy for 1920 showed an upright windshield on the open cars, unlike the car pictured above. However, at least one source indicates that at some point in the 1920 production, a slanted windshield became standard on open cars.
A source indicates that the Dodge engine developed 30 to 35 HP at 2,000 RPM.

If that's correct, one of these cars in good condition should be able to do 50 MPH under most conditions.

I'd guess these cars were popular with cops.

Yes, I can attest that this car easily hits 45-50 without much effort. Once you pop her into high gear, it takes off. Great brakes and this particular car has been rebuilt so shes ready for another long life. Unfortunately, I have college bills and a wedding coming up so I have to convert this DB into cash.

Does this car have louvers in the hood panels? Period advertisement pics don't seem to show any.

No, no louvers in the hood panels, they are solid.
