FS: 1915 War Wagon / Open Light Express Model T

Post by signsup » Thu May 09, 2019 10:12 am

I have decided to sell our 1915 Ford Model T “War Wagon” as the offers from museums across the country carry with them too many restrictions and obligations. So the ultimate SUV is up for sale. A little bit about it:
All the metal work is 1915, including the brass radiator .
The engine is a 1927 with the engine mounted coil box
There is no title in GA for a vehicle this old, so it is sold bith a Bill of Sale. We have been representing it as a 1915 and the replica license plate reflects that
6 v battery and starter car. Electric headlights, cowl lights and tail light with working brake light
Magneto works and car runs great on either battery or mag
Radiator is only a few years old and the car has never overheated on our parades and tours. Motometer has never indicated a hot engine
Entire car was restored and built in 2016, so all work and paint are fresh and tires, battery, gas tank boiled, engine and carb gone through, starter and generator and cut off inspected only a few years ago.
Car needs nothing to be a display, parade, or touring driver
Interior coil box is for storage and speedometer is for appearance only
Car is currently available in two trim options, I will sell as is in the World War I Light Patrol Vehicle configuration for $10k which includes the replica M1919 machine gun and all WWI trimmings seen in photos. Or, the vehicle can be reduced to the Light Open Express Model T version for $8k with no military representations other than the OD paint.
The wood work was shellaced prior to painting, so the OD paint can be sanded down to shellaced wood easily for repaint or bare wood appearance by new owner.
Vehicles is located in the Atlanta, GA area but delivery can be negotiated. I have priced the vehicle to sell quickly, IMO, so, please, no tire kickers. I have plans to drive this in several Memorial Day events at the end of this month and will advertise it locally at those events, so time is of the essence.
19 photos available upon request, but here are some representations taken yesterday.

Why do we drive on parkways and park on driveways?

A bunch of old cars
Sometimes they run.
Sometimes, they don't.

Robert,

In the spirit of the fact that this is a sort of military item the answer to your question is we drive on parkways and park on driveways for exactly the same reason generals eat in a private mess and privates eat in a general mess.

Man, was this a hit at the Memorial Day parade. It's unique enough as a static display, but to start, run and drive the entire length of the parade shocked a lot of people.

Not me.

I'll miss her.

Had this up at the Cracker Fly In in Gainesville, GA where it was voted the most popular exhibit by the spectators. Had a fan belt and fan bracket issue that is being resolved today. Crank started it about 40 times and let it idle and it never got above high summer average on the motormeter in 93 degree GA heat.
Another car show with it this weekend. It's a real head turner and crowd pleaser. Everyone wants more pics. No one wants the War Wagon. Open to reasonable offers. War Wagon or civilian Light Open Express configuration.
