Revised:
Posting this for a family friend:
1924 roadster purchased new in Seguin, Texas and passed down through the family. Roger Spillers purchased the car from his uncle as a teenager in 1948 and drove the car on a regular basis. He passed away in 2022.
Roger restored the car in the late '90s or early 2000's, including fresh paint, new upholstery, new top, and engine and drive train overhaul. Additional features include Ruckstell axle and Rocky mountain brakes. The car is very quick and runs well on both battery and magneto.
There are many extra parts included as a package deal with the car. There are 2 extra engine blocks and parts, 2 complete rear ends {with drive shafts and u-joints}, and many other items too numerous to list.

Contact information listed below.

On its way to a new home in Ohio!
You meet the nicest folks thru the MTFCA!
Thanks!

Thanks Mark,
It is indeed a very nice car. I will post copies of some of the early paperwork such as license receipts, original bill of sale, repair bills, etc., when the family provides them to me.
Roger Spillers was meticulous about his work, having restored a number of cars through the years. Cars such as Shelby Mustangs, 1952 Ford F1 (which has also been in family since new), an MG-TD, a 1958 MGA, and a 1930 Model A Tudor.

Roger bought the car from his uncle Gus in 1948 for the sum of $200, which was quite a high price at that time.

When selling a car, it is best to wash the 30 years of dust and dirt off of the car, so the condition of the paint can be seen.

Car looks pretty good to Me dust and all. The History and documentation is part of the package and it makes it more desirable. Austin Texas in Summer is pretty dusty. If He just washed it some folks would say He washed it to make the dull faded paint shine. But with a MTFCA # of 7352 This is not His first Rodeo!

You hit it on the head, Jim! Hot and dusty these past few years in Austin. You don't often find a one family owned, nearly 100 year old car these days. Roger was thorough about his restorations, whether it was clocks, guns or cars. I'm sure a complete wash and cleaning would be in order for the interested buyer!
To emphasize again, there is a whole lot of spare parts included as a package deal.
Thank you for the bump to the top!
Randy

Some cars need just a couple glances to know that it's straight and solid. This is one of them! Hope someone grabs this and starts to enjoy it!

This roadster is definitely a gem and deserves a good home. If you have any interest at all, please reach out to the John to discuss the details as I am certain they are looking for reasonable offers. He can also give you an idea of the additional items that are included with the car. Just FYI, the 1924 Texas license plates add value to the car as well.
Thanks again for looking.

It looks like a great car and history. How can you let it leave the family? If you do someone will probably regret it someday.
