Car is in good condition. Interior fabric older but looks decent, all intact, no tears. Body solid, good shape, paint is actually quite nice. Top good, no leaks or tears. Engine turns over. Man I bought it from said it was running when he parked it to restore it. Never restored it, I bought it to restore, but too many projects and not enough time. Mea Culpa! I'm trying to discover how to delete the extra photos... thank you for your patience.

When you find out. Please let every body know. You can go into edit mode and delete the file for that picture and reload it being careful not to click on add file. file will load by itself usually and if you click on add file it puts the photo up additional times. But only one file shows up for that photo no matter how many were duplicates. I know enough to be dangerous when it comes to loading photos on the forum. Just when I think its all down hill a wheel comes off. And if your have compressed files your dealing with all bets are off.

Anyone who replies to a post with simply; “Is this car still available?” Is a scammer or just wants to chew the fat. Somebody who legitimately wants to buy a car it’s going to make more of an effort than just that.

Or, in this case, Garrett "GarJen" Jensen is 16 years old, according to his profile.

I'm 64 years old and remember very well when I was 16. Back in 1977 there was no website forums, no internet, nothing of the like. There was Hemmings, Antique Motor News, the Long Beach Model T swap meet, Cars and Parts magazine, and a telephone on the side of the cabinet in the kitchen.

I don't believe that Garrett is a scammer. I believe that he is a young man with a high interest in Model "T"s and vintage cars in general, just like I was when I was 16. I'm willing to bet we share another similarity, shortage of funds. He just needs to learn a small bit of forum etiquette.

Let's give the young people that express an interest in our hobby assistance in acquiring something that holds their interests, that aren't video games, loitering in dark parking lots, or worse, illicit pharmaceuticals.

I've been on, and off, this forum since the late Bruce McCalley started it. I've seen some pretty bad mud slinging, accusations, and name calling to the point I was sure there would be legal action. Don't believe me? Ask Dick Lodge. He made a noble effort at forum damage control that was leveled at a young, energetic enthusiast.

My late Father, Anthony Spaziano, grew up during the Great Depression on the streets of Providence, RI. and had quite the colorful vocabulary. One of the things that he used to say often was "Give the kid a break, for C#&!t sake!"

If you'd like to know where I'm coming from, read my quote at the bottom of this post. Good luck with your search, Garrett. Keep looking. You'll find what you're looking for. And most of all, stick with the forum. You won't find a better place for knowledge than right here.

I am with Mike S on this! I also remember Dick Lodge trying to defend a young fellow that several people assumed was a fraud. Dick L and a few others had met him, and gotten to know him, but some people refused to accept that they had been wrong. It was an ugly situation that should not have happened, and several good members here cut way back or left completely because of it.

I have never met Garrett Jensen, but several people I have known for years have said they have met him, and that he is very interested in model Ts, and that is good enough for me.

Glad to have Garrett amongst us. Would be great if he managed to get this T... or any other one.

The car is still available. A friend told me about the request and I've replied via email to garjen. I hope he has a mentor nearby who can help him, this would be a great car for a 16 year old to have and enjoy into his 80's! Ah, if he doesn't "rod" it...

I see that Garrett resides in Southern Orange County, California.

If Garrett doesn't already know of, or is thinking about becoming a member of the Orange County Model T Club, I reccomended he look into becoming a member. There are several members of that club that have helped me immensely over the years. Along with this club, the Long Beach Model T Club is another awesome club.

Thank you all so much for all of your inspiring words and kindness! Here's the situation, I was involved in a hit and run in late 2022 my leg was run over, the police found the man a few months ago and we are suing the company who he worked for. With the money from the lawsuit my mother is allowing me the great honor of buying my first model T. We will have the lawsuit filed by the end of the month and are looking to settle sometime in february. Thanks so much for responding and I hope your car is still available when the money arrives.
