1910 Model T touring car FS on Facebook Marketplace

It appears that the post by the gentleman looking to buy a very early Model T has been removed or I just couldn't find it.
If that gentleman is still checking the forum site, here is a restored 1910 Model T listed on Facebook. I know nothing about the car; I'm just passing on the link:

Sure is pretty. 75k is a lot of money, not so much if you are very wealthy. That’s the price perfect concours 09-10s were selling for a few years back, so who knows. The earlier the more money. Number 2 sold for $246,400 in 2022.

Don't know what difference it makes that the car's been on the market so long...not like it has a freshness date on it...its on long because of the LIMITED cross-section of those who can AFFORD it! Anyone buying this caliber of car ain't gonna drive it..so they have to be a collector who's gonna leave it set and gather dust and be dusted off regularly which is fine yet a shame.

Don't understand the "bwwn on the market too long, so no"... I've heard that before, I don't get the mindseet.
For me, it's the money, not how long it's been posted. It's a really pretty car... just for me not $75K pretty.

Pat, that is definitely your prerogative since it is your money to spend as you wish, -HOWEVER, there is a huge ethical difference between you saying that comment to the Owner during negotiations of a sale VS. stating such a comment in a public forum as if your intent is to sway someone's mindset from purchasing it. Since your armchair appraisal shows lack of character, -and lack of knowledge with regard to early Model-T values and the costs associated with restoration to the level that vehicle represents, wouldn't it be prudent for you to retract your statement so as not to give this forum a bad reputation as one where forum members are known to belittle and critique other hobbyist's vehicles without their knowledge or consent??

You are absolutely right. Too many men that are "Old Ladies" and "Nose Pickers", as we say in the business.
PS-I know this car, and is a GREAT car. Well worth the money. You can buy a 1910 "parts car" for 25K and it will cost you at least 100K to correct the car and restore it-and that means if you do the work yourself. Have it professionally restored? About 200K. I know what it costs.

unsolicited warning?? Your appearance of arrogance really is not health for this hobby, ...and is grossly unfair to the Seller and any potential Buyer. As Guy and others (-including myself who owns several early cars) pointed out above, this vehicle definitely appears to be priced fairly based on its rarity, authenticity, and the level of craftsmanship it would take to replicate it.

Seems pretty high to me. Weitzel was asking $50K for his 09 and hadnt got takers last I heard.

OK Maybe, ...but I for one kinda found it a tad offensive to publicly criticize someone's vehicle, -especially when that someone is trying to sell it and not a party to the conversation to defend themselves. Plus, I guess I didn't see any emojis or any signs that Pat was joking in any of his comments. Based on some of the other posters thoughts, maybe they didn't see his humor either??

Anyone buying this beauty is going to know everything he needs to about a 1910 Ford Touring car. Unfortunately, such a purchase will also come with "scorn" from Pat, and those like him, which makes it harder for these buyers to feel welcome among our ranks.
