Does this truck have have any kind of auxiliary transmission, or "high speed" axle gears?

The rear axle is high speed rear end.
The transfer case has a low speed drive output with pu.p NOT in gear. Works like a Rux.

Putting Henry's comment into perspective, a 7:1 ratio gear set will have your engine
maxed at 20mph. Even slower if it is not rebuilt and balanced. A rebuilt and balanced
engine with a 5:1 gear set will do a comfortable 35 and have an upper end approaching
50...
He puts a lot of miles on his TT Flatbed in Eastern Washington. The Fire Truck is undoubtably heavier, but the flat ground cruising speed should be close.
Pat, you sound pretty interested, I think that you should buy this one.
Keep crankin',
Eric
