This 1927 Touring was owned by a deceased member of the Centennial Model T Club of Omaha. The engine and transmission were rebuilt by a shop in Omaha, including new pistons, rods, all new babit , valves and more. New bushings were installed in the transmission and the transmission bands were replaced.
The rear end was taken out and rebuilt, along with the front axle, which had New spindle bushings and king pins were installed.
The new floor boards have not had the installation completed but the boards will be part of the sale.

The body is solid, ( may need to be repainted ) the spare tire is included, but not shown in the photos. The headlights and bar have not been installed but come with the car.
As noted in the photos, the seats and door liners are in very good condition. As for the roof, I do not have an installation date but it appears to be in excellent condition.

In closing, my friend and fellow Centennial Model T club member, did a Great job in bringing this car back to life but his life ended way to soon. With all of the drive train rebuilt and less than 10 miles on the car, this would be a perfect project car, for the newbie, to Model T’s.

Hi George,
My name is Evan and I’ve been lurking on the MTFCA for a while looking for a Model T. It would be my first, but in the past I’ve been around 60’s classics, so an older mode T is unfamiliar ground. The car that you listed looks like something I’d be interested in and looks like most of the hard stuff has been done. Your ad was more descriptive than most, but since I’m a newbie, could I ask what your opinion is on what lacks on this model T and what would be the “things to do” on it.

Ima serious buyer and not a dreamer about this and although I’m located in The Dallas area, I would consider making the trip if it’s the right one for me.

Evan, to be honest with you about my friends car, is as follows.

1. The engine and transmission have been rebuilt by a shop in Omaha, Nebraska. This shop is very good and the work has been approved by many Model T and A owner’s in the area, for years.

2. With the above said, I indicated in the posting that fewer than 10 miles have been put on the drive train, this is like more like two miles, basically around the block. The engine will need to be broken in , along with the transmission, not a difficult process.

3. The installation of the floor boards have not been completed but they will come with the car. They may need to have adjustments made to them, to fit.

4. Light bar and lights come with the car, simply have to bolt on and wire. Photo shows the light bar in the back seat.

5. The rear tire comes with the car.

6. The seats and roof are in Great condition but do not know their age.

7. This Model T was owned by his Father for years.

8. Body is is good condition but you may want to repaint it.i wouldn’t but that’s your call.

I did see him pour the new Babbitt for Jim’s rods.

What type of bands were installed in the transmission?

*I looked at the bands and found them to be new Kevlar.

On the rear axle rebuild, did they use bronze thrust washers?

*The rear end builder told me, he did put in the new bronze washers.

For the spare tire, do you have the long, curved pipe type mounting bracket to hold the spare?

*I did find the tire mount, photo attached.

I notice there is a bracket for a right side tail light. Is that tail light included or not available?

*As for the tail light, the wife will look for it.

Could you post a picture of the front of the headlights? What I'm looking for is if the headlights have old, dull reflectors or newer, bright ones. Also, I'd like to see the condition of the headlight rims and the plating. Are the headlight rims nice and shiney nickle?

*Find photos of the light bar and rims. The rims are in OK condition but not perfect.


Do you know the age of the tires, or if not, are there any age cracks in them?

*The wife told me Jim got the tires about five years ago. I have photos attached of each tire. They do not show any cracks.

Is the title clear and do the numbers match the frame and engine?

*The title is clear and the engine and frame are the same matching numbers. Photos attached.

I know these questions are detailed, but that's the type of information needed to help evaluate the car.

*The window bar has some rust, per the attached photo.


*As for the door, find a photo and video of it working.

*Again, I will obtain the build information Monday.
