is there a shortage of coil capacitors? They seem to be getting hard to get.

I have them. A set of 4 capacitors are $15 shipped anywhere inside the continental USA. These are the “Orange Drop” 418p capacitors that were specified by the major coil rebuilders for years before they started making their own. These are round, not flat. That is my preference for rebuilding since I find them a bit easier to handle AND I remove the glass and remove & re-pour most all of the tar in order to produce a more durable product. Don, check this thread, it shows alot of the differnt 1's .47 uf
I have worked on alot of the old battery radios and the capacitors go bad in them over time. It is annoying to no end that manufactors hide the microfarad rating and make it difficult to simply buy a capacitor.
