Virtual swap meet
We need to keep the old car hobby moving. Think about this. If you never done it before, it’s easy to post items and sell right here. If you don’t know how to post pics, take advantage of the kids and grandkids being home to show you how. With the great postal system we have, you never even have to leave your house. They will send free boxes right to you. Bigger items are easy to ship also. Fed ex is my favorite, but that’s just me. My ads aren’t new to you, but as you can see, the pile is constantly changing.
Let me know if anything pulls your trigger. Tmorsher@icloud.com is the way to reach me. PLEASE, no PMs or messages here. The quickest way is to email me, tmorsher@icloud.com thanks!

Re: Virtual swap meet
I'm available to whomever needs help posting pictures. From some prior discussions: some people have a problem getting the picture from their phone to their computer; others adding it to their posting. And in some cases they see it sideways and think that they did something wrong. Not sure if their is a HELP all these

"How Does the free boxes thing work"
Mack,
Go to the U.S. Post Office site on the internet and open an account with them. There is no charge for an account but you need to sign in with a password every time just like any other site. Then when you're on the site you go to the "Shipping Supplies" section and order the box sizes you want at no charge. They do charge for some items but most are free. They will deliver them with your regular mail. You can also do pick up requests for your packages and they will come to your door to pick it up. You can open an account with them and purchase and print shipping labels on this site too. You can do all your mailing from home. You would need to purchase an accurate scale to weigh your package on in order to buy a label.

Re: Virtual swap meet
Dennis said just about all, Mack. It’s very easy. Wifey does it for me. Ask if you need more help. Don’t get too worried about an accurate scale. If you are close, it’ll count. The Flat Rate boxes are great. Unless you are selling lead buckshot, you will likely never reach the weight limits. Also, regional rate A and B boxes are a great value. That’s saves a lot of money over priority prices. We ship dozens of things every month, and have for years now. Very rarely have to step into a post office. I’m a huge fan of the Post Office.

Re: Virtual swap meet
Howdy all, My daughter just told me about a postage site called "Pirate Ship". She just showed me the site saturday. She has saved a couple bucks + on shipping and the label looks like a USPS label. I know I'll be looking into it.

Re: Virtual swap meet
Good idea, I have been "virtual" for many years, but now would be a good time for all the other sellers to come out of the wood work. I just posted my first "virtual swap meet" item. A Columbo cross drive magneto setup that was loaded and headed to Chickasha. I hope to see many more Chickasha items show up here for all to see.

Mack, post your non T related items on the classifieds anyway, you never know what someone may be looking for. As far as I know, there isn't an "off topic" parts for sale thread, at least not yet. JMHO Dave

I would list "For Sale Era Related" and let others decide whether to click on it or not.

Re: Virtual swap meet
I have well over a thousand e-bay auctions and hundreds of sales here on the forum as well as lots of International sales. Using a little common sense and good packing I have had very, very, few damaged items. Maybe 10 items total.
Probably more than a hundred of the items were over a thousand dollars per item. All sent thru the mail.
I no longer buy insurance. Its almost impossible to get a claim paid for. They always try to find some way to say it was your fault. I figured that if I had 100 items shipped with no insurance , the savings on paying for the insurance, would allow me to "self insure" I passed that point a long time ago. Self insuring is not for everyone, but it worked out well for me.
The Columbo mag mentioned above is sold (pending payment) It took about a hour to box it properly and it is ready to go to Montana to its new owner thanks to the MTFCA.

Thanks Frank for posting my friend Barbie as I always viewed her like this .You are correct that the virus is in the way or at least your sign is! Now if I can just get my blood pressure regulated again. And I will say she is in the correct section of the forum under "classified parts!"

Two things; sent the tracking number to the buyer and add sold to the title when done.
