FS The Big Red Beast- Turn Key Performance Engine (SOLD)

Post by Henry K. Lee » Tue May 05, 2020 6:48 am

Another project that is just not going to happen. So much time was spent in building this engine!!!! Skat cross drilled crankshaft, Roof/Laurel 310 cam, the list is so looooonnnng. A lot of power and not for the faint at heart. This is configured for a single seat racer if you were wondering about the pedals being clipped down (Trapeze Pedals). Easy change over. Pick up only, $10,000.00, comes with the stand. Email Only to the address provided.

WOW! That's the coolest T motor I've ever seen! If I had an extra 10k I'd buy and park it in my living room!
Nice Nice work.....

I tried. My accountant said that I could afford the engine but not the divorce. Then I cried. :(

What a beautiful engine. I would have been all over that when I was sourcing an engine for my race car build. So sorry to see you changing directions, I know you must had something extraordinary planned for that engine. Wishing the best for you in your new direction.

Let’s see, average cost, normal rebuild on a complete model T engine 5k-7 plus based on location of builder, you supply the complete engine you ship it or transport it & wait to go pick it up or have it shipped to you OR you keep your original engine & get the Beast @ $7500 now & you pick it up with a substantial engine stand. There is a Forrest Gump quote or two that fits here.

Best John

With that engine I would be going too fast for my old car before I got out of low gear.
.
Do you know how much horsepower that engine will put out?

Thanks Walt!

At flywheel from building specs should produce right at 160 Hp @ 4,400 rpm. Yes, that is correct. But the factory T transmission will steal 1/3 of the horse power, 128 pounds rotating is not good.

Congrats to the new owner. In my opinion you got by far the best deal on something T related in 2023! Kinda like buying an all original complete open valve T for $10,000.00! I own one of Hanks built pieces. Incredible workmanship!
In my opinion.
