WTB - Window Regulators, For Fordor - Case re-opened
Originally thought I needed all 4 but after removal, I only need 1. Does anyone have 1 regulator in working condition?

I guess I didn't realize there were options. I will take one off and see what it looks like on the other side. With the door panel off it just looks like a riveted plate with a circular impression in it. I'll post a picture once off.

I haven't gotten them apart yet. A little afraid I'll forget how to put them back together if I don't do it quick. Here's an image of the visible side, the back side feels like a slotted snake weaving back and forth.

If you feel on the back side is it the zig zag style or does it travel in S's as it goes up and down? If so it could be just the one gear stripped and some one had some of them lasered out years ago.

It travels in S's. So I should take them apart and see what the issue is?

it is usually one gear that is stripped, an easy fix, have one water jetted or lasered out and it is back to working again.

This is the style I would like. The three functioning ones on the car are this style.

The one that is broken is this style. It would work but I'd like them all to be the same.

Jachady- Be patient trying to find a good regulator. But don’t throw away the one you have! They are hard to find in any condition. The one you have can be repaired. I didn’t have one for my 24 Coupe at all and finally found a junker after 3 years and repaired it. Hope you find a good one.

I've learned to be patient with this car. I reinstalled it broken because it still worked to hold the window up!

Can anyone explain how that thing works? I don't see how you can even get a lowering or raising action out of it!

Re: WTB - Window Regulators, For Fordor - Case re-opened
I’m new to these forums, not much of a computer guy so I’ll have to learn as I go. I have a 1925 fordor sedan that I am needing all four window regulators. I have called model t haven and was told “ good luck”. The car has two regulators but they are broke. I will try to attach some pics of what I have. If a different style can be used that information would be well received. Thanks

Lang's was selling the brass pods that replaced the pot metal ones if that is the style you have.

Re: WTB - Window Regulators, For Fordor - Case re-opened
If you have a broken are non functioning regulator DONT THROW IT AWAY! They usually can be fixed with a replacement or parts from another. They aren’t real easy to find. If you can’t figure out how they work they are usually riveted together.
Take it apart and it makes things a little clearer on how they work.
I repaired the one I needed for my 24 Coupe which I got on EBay for less than $2.00.
It was rusted up and stuck up nobody bid on it but me.
Took me a while but I repaired it and it’s works fine. Hadn’t seen another one at a swap meet or Ebay since and that was 4 years ago.
There was another that might have been available on a 24 Coupe parts car but the owner threw away all the rusted up interior parts and kept the rest that was in better shape. Oh well
