WTB Express/ Truck bed Hardware
I have have a 1919 open cab express body...the tailgate hardware on my truck is homemade ... it’s done tastefully but there are a few visible welds etc. that I don’t like... I was wondering if anyone has any original hardware? Hinges, latches , support brackets and such? I’m not looking for hardware from the later T’s that were actually built from factory as pickups ..I’m looking for hardware from the carriage builders that would have built a body to fit a T Chassis. I’m sure there are probably different variables but they all probably resemble one another from that period. Any help is appreciated. Thanks George

Have you considered hardware off of an old wagon??

I noticed Macs sells a complete reproduction wood bed with the type of hardware that I’m looking for but they don’t list the hardware individually? Someone must produce it? I attached an image ... not sure if I did it correctly.

Snyders sells the same kit
I personally would be inclined to contact them to custom source just the hardware or contact a locak blacksmith to knock out what you want.
My dad took 1970's Syverson hack hardware to a blacksmith and he made very nice round forged hardware which fit perfectly in the place of the stamped flat steel parts.

Re: WTB Express/ Truck bed Hardware
Scott,
I was actually thinking about making the hardware myself as you mentioned... amazing the look you can achieve with a rosebud and a ball peen hammer... I just thought I might be able to save myself the time which there never seems to be enough of anymore.. I can’t imagine I’m the only one on this forum that has tried to source these parts? But you might be right I may just need to contact Mac’s and see what they say.

George,
I have a box full of exactly what you are asking about from an original open express truck body. Please contact me and I will lay it all out on a table and text or email you a photo of everything. I will take $45.00 plus $15.00 postage (your check is fine) to deliver the whole lot to you via USPS. Glad to help.
Kind Regards,
Rick Rice
