WTB Horn bracket

Post by jaybee47 » Sat Jul 18, 2020 5:44 pm

Wish to buy a separate horn bracket or bracket with cover or a complete but dead horn.
My working battery horn is in need of a bracket.
I know modern repos are available but prefer an old original bracket.
Picture attached.
Thank you.

I've got a pre 26 electric horn bracket that I removed from a horn and replaced with a 26-27 bracket. It's been carefully restored. The bracket has been used, as there is a circular mark on the attaching arm that a head bolt would go through. Also, this bracket came off of an AMES electric horn. I do believe it to be an original because the bracket was fastened to the horn with two screws that go hold the horn cover on, and the third hole had a rivet through it which I carefully removed and will include with the bracket. I send it to you postpaid by Priority mail for $20.00

Jay, If my bracket, shown above, is too nice for your horn, I can strip the paint; let it sit in acid, and let it rust a little for you at no extra charge. The cheapest that I saw reproductions in Snyder's or Lang's catalogs was around $15.00 and Priority Mail to you would be over $5.00. Of course if someone offers to send you one for free; I wouldn't blame you for taking their offer.
