HI JOE,
THANK YOU VERY MUCH FOR THE QUICK REPLY. IT HAS TO BE A SIX INCH DIAMETER. I WOULD BE HAPPY TO CONSIDER THE ONE WITHOUT THE SILVER, BUT I DON'T KNOW IF ANYBODY DOES SILVERING. DO YOU KNOW OF ANY ONE? HOW BAD IS THE ONE WITH THE CRACK (PICTURE?) & WHAT IS YOUR ASKING PRICE?
REGARDS, PAUL

Paul, I have two in my 1912 E&J lights. Be aware that there can be differences in the curvature of the lens when trying to get a matched pair. One of mine is more concave than the other. I can still focus them by sliding the jet to a suitable position, but in daylight, looking into the lamp, they appear to reflect two different sizes.

HI ALLAN,
THANKS VERY MUCH FOR THAT INFORMATION. I WAS HOPING THAT "1913" WOULD SPECIFY THE CURVATURE, BUT NOW I'M NOT SO SURE. I LOVE YOUR COUNTRY. HAD A FEW NICE VISITS THERE. I WEAR R. M. WILLIAMS JEANS. THEY'RE THE BEST IN THE WORLD IN MY OPINION & I OWNED A COMPANY THAT SOLD THOUSANDS OF THE OTHER BRANDS. PAUL

I was told Mercury and silver nitrate will do it, I bought both years ago but have never tried it being afraid of going through the cloves?

Paul, the news is not good.
It is very difficult to find R M Williams gear that is still made in Australia since the company was bought out by the Pierre Cardin conglomerate. I live near their factory outlet store. I last bought Australian made jeans 3 years ago. Most clothing items are made in China, Fiji and elsewhere. While some of their boots are still made here, I have seen footwear made in Poland! I hope I have enough gear to last me out. It reminds me of the difficulty I had buying an American made belt at the Stockyards in Fort Worth 10 years ago.

HI ALLAN,
THAT 'S THE WAY OF THE WORLD, SADLY. WE HAD SOME GREAT QUALITY OUTFITTERS IN THE U.S. IN MY EARLY DAYS; THEY GOT UP BY FOREIGN COMPANIES & WERE MILKED BY SELING LOW QUALITY GOODS UNDER THE HIGH QUALITY NAME . I.E. EDDIE BAUER, ALASKA SLEEPING BAG CO. ETC.

HI JOE,
I MAY HAVE FOUND SOMEONE WHO WILL DO SILVERING, AT WHAT COST I DON'T KNOW. WOULD YOU PLEASE GIVE ME A PRICE + FREIGHT FOR THE 6 INCH REFLECTORS? ARE THEY THE SAME GEOMETRY? I JUST WASTED $100.00 ON A NEW CHROME PLATED ONE & IT IS USELESS. THANKS, PAUL

I was thinking 30 on the cracked one and 30 on the one that needs silvered, plus freight. The geometry looks the same on both.

HI JOE,
THANKS FOR THE REPLY. I DID FIND SOMEONE WHO WILL SILVER THE GLASS FOR $125.00 . IF YOU CAN DO $35.00 ON THE CLEAR ONE, TOTAL, INCLUDING FREIGHT, WE CAN DO A DEAL. WHEN YOU CONSIDER I JUST SPENT OVER $100.00 ON ONE THAT WAS USELESS,THIS IS STARTING TO ADD UP.
REGARDS, PAUL
