WTB: 30 x 3-1/2 ND rim

Post by R.V.Anderson » Mon Aug 24, 2020 12:51 pm

Hi; looking for a mint or very nice non-demountable rim. Will be installed on a new wood wheel. Will buy outright or: also have a very nice 30 x 3 ND rim to trade if anyone would prefer that. Thanks!

A complete wheel with bad spokes, with or without hub, would be OK, as long as the rim is good.

Might be, but I could buy the wheel, then, since I don't need the hub. the junk spokes could be cut and just the rim shipped. That should only cost most of one arm and one leg, not the entire limbs.

Sorry RV - I seem to have an abundance of 30 x 3's that are candidates but nothing in what you are requesting - my apologies !

R.V. if you get stuck, I have what you want, sandblasted and electro zinc plated, among my swapmeet stocks. Freight would be a killer, but it can be done.

I’ve been watching this thread from a distance, because my 1913 Touring has one demountable rim on the passenger side rear.
It seems that ND rims are not plentiful.
Do many who tour regularly and are not interested in show judging convert to all demountable rims?

Good luck R V!
