WTB: Bird Dogs Palace Runningboard carrier
All,
Im looking for another piece for my auto camp junk collection. I am looking for a bird dogs palace for the car runningboard.
Yes, I know there is one on ebay for an insane amount of money. I am not interested in spending that. The last one I saw actually sell was nicer than that one and sold for 350.
If any of you have one that you might want to part with, let me know.
Also, as always, still hunting for period auto camp stuff.
Thanks again,
L

For those prices, it would be cheaper and better to just duplicate one from a picture. Any special sheet metal can be laser cut at any large sheet metal shop. Even with the laser cutting, you will still probably be under the cost of a rusty, beat up used one, that has loose cage pieces and missing parts from being banged around. And yours will be brand new. All you need is the dog to haul around with it. Mine rides around with his arm hanging out over the side door, and his tongue in the breeze. He'd be dreadfully indignant if he had to ride in a cage strapped to the running board. I'd put a stuffed one in there.

Take a look at this old discussion - might be able to contact someone that has one. There are pictures of a NOS one http://www.mtfca.com/discus/messages/118802/129055.html Here are some other pictures I found

You should note that the dog is thinking; "SO! NOW I don't get to ride alongside you?!?!?! You can find your OWN birds, buddy-boy!! Or maybe you can take the cat with you next time!"

Mr. Pairs of Keating, Mother-in-laws ride in the cage in the rear, not the side! We call them carbon monoxide momma's, and after the first mile or so, it keeps' em pretty quiet! Grin!
